Twins Martin and Colin Woodcock have been enthusiasts of early oak and country furniture for over 30 years.
Colin trained as a cabinetmaker ​ and studied at The London College Of Furniture while working at Cedar Antiques, perhaps one of the leading specialists of the time in early oak and country furniture.
Martin joined his brother as an apprentice French polisher and quickly involved himself in all aspects of restoration, together over the next six years ​​they acquired a deep appreciation of the importance of colour, proportions and originality- and the skills to enhance them.
Over the years they have worked on furniture for dignitaries, celebrities and TV programmes including Dallas, Lovejoy and several ​period dramas.
​They opened their shop in one of England's premiere antique towns-Petworth which has over 30 specialist shops dealing in a variety​ of antiques.
​
We now offer a collection of early English oak and period country furniture from the 16th century, 17th century and 18th century. Our speciality being oak chests, settles , Welsh dressers, early country chairs, period dining tables, joint stools, coffers, wainscot chairs and oak cupboards.
